We are absolutely thrilled at our stallion's first foal crop,
they are not only nice to look at but they are very sweet
boys too. Genuine is going to throw his type and his
temperament just as we had hoped, and we are excited
about the nice babies we have to look forward to in 2008
out of some more nice mares.
Genuine Boy Toy (above) is a gorgeous Sorrel colt out of a daughter of Banjo
Barrachone. He has been tested EVA Negative, and vaccinated. He is Genuine's
first foal, and what he lacks in color he certainly makes up for in great looks,
athleticism, and an exceptionally sweet temperament.
We expect this nice boy to give them a run for their money in any cowhorse event.
We originally had him sold, but we are going to keep him and see what he can do for
us. So far he's proving unflappable in his training, and he's doing great with his
In-Hand Trail trail lessons. Yearling pics coming soon!
Genuine Gentleman Jeb (his new owner has already named him but we call
him the yellow boy!) is a Palomino gelding by Genuine out of a nicely bred
retired Halter mare, our best riding horse.
We were a little surprised that this cross came out so great since it is not a
typical cowhorse breeding, but this super nice colt will have the height
necessary to be competitive in a number of APHA & PHBA events. He is
extremely athletic and intelligent as well. His new owner can't wait to start
riding him next year! We're trying to talk her into showing him, but she just
wanted a good trail horse, so we'll see.
Thanks Stefani!
