Forrest Pride QLM Silvertips
"Silver"
2006 ADGA PB LaMancha Doe
"Silver" is one of my favorite does, she has a wonderful personality and we really enjoy her antics.  She has her dry leg, which was
earned as a Jr. kid.
Her 2009 buck kid won Jr. Reserve CH at the Big Buck show in TX, and her 2010 homebred doe kid is turning out to be a very nice,
large & correct doe.  We're hoping to improve on Silver's rather meaty udder with a very well-bred buck from a well-known, high quality
herd in the Fall of 2011, but we're still looking at a couple to be sure we make the right choice this time.  We're after the thinner
skinned, silkier udders that milk down to practically nothing, along with a little more refinement in the head, traits which are produced by
some other lines we really like.  She is a good milker, giving almost a gallon per day, but we stopped milking her after we tried our
Nubians' milk, which is consistently the best tasting milk we've ever had.

Fir Meadow Wild Xachet
"Xachet"
ADGA PB LaMancha Doe
Xachet is a wonderful little doe with the absolute best personality, she is a really special girl.  She is pictured above
as a yearling first freshener, she has the most wonderful udder that is nearly perfect and it milks down like a glove,
something we've really come to appreciate in our past couple of years milking and showing dairy goats.
She kidded in March with a nice, big doe kid who was at 58# before she hit 2 1/2 months of age (HUGE!)--probably
the fastest growing kid we've raised.  She was nearly 100# at 8 months of age, so we're sure she's going to way
outgrow her dam, she's already as tall as she is and still growing!
